Now we are living in a situation we have never imagined we could live in. While we were moving “carefree” in the frantic rhythms of modern life, while planning activities with the beginning of spring, our secure everyday life has come upside down. We feel like “somebody has pressed a pause button in our lives,” and an unprecedented and unknown to most of us condition is dominant in our daily communication. If someone two months ago had told us that we would have to deal with such a challenge, we would consider that he is making awkward and imaginative scenarios.
And yet, we live it, today, now, a reality completely different and foreign from what we had experienced until now. A reality to which we had to adapt immediately, without “time” to process the changes it brings. A change where we had to slow down, think the obvious, and “give” us the amount of time we have been looking for years to “see” us better, think, listen to our needs, desires, us…
A change is happening to all of us simultaneously, but each of us experiences it in a different way every day… Other days we would enjoy this new reality, and other days we would wish to wake up, and this black and white “movie” where we co-star is over… It is good to remember that it is normal… It is normal to be one day carefree and happy and the next day to feel that we are “drowning,” as we all do the best we can…
We all have something to learn from this situation, and instead of wondering, “why is this happening to us,” we can ask ourselves, “why not to us.” We never know how much power we hide until we must deal with a big challenge. The reserves of each of us, our hidden “magic” powers are enormous, and through the difficulties, we can discover them and use them.
Maybe it is an opportunity to find out who we are, to appreciate everything we have (the sky, the sun, our sight, our hands, etc.) – no matter how small and insignificant we thought they were, to find (again) our loved ones, become better, more humane…
